Class Code:
9077F
Per NCCI's Scopes Code Description:
Code 9077F is applied to all civilian employees including drivers of non-appropriated fund instrumentalities of the United States Armed Services. The Non-Appropriated Fund Instrumentalities Act extends the provisions of the USL&HW Act to civilian employees of federal instrumentalities. Typical examples of these non-appropriated activities are set forth in this classification's footnote. These funds provide authorized military and/or civilian personnel with merchandise and services of necessity and convenience not otherwise furnished from federal appropriations. Revenue producing funds comprise the largest category of non-appropriated funds and the profits generated by these activities are usually used to support welfare, morale and recreational funds. Off-duty military personnel working for non-appropriated fund instrumentalities have been deemed not to be employees within the Non-Appropriated Fund Instrumentalities Act and, therefore, premium should not be taken on their payroll.
