Per NCCI's Scopes Code Description:
Code 5069 applies to insureds constructing iron or steel dwellings including assembling or fabricating at the job site. It applies to any iron or steel work on one- or two-family residences or other buildings used for dwelling purposes, including Quonset huts, not exceeding two stories in height. The operations involve raising structural members and securing them by bolting, welding, or riveting. Specialist contractors who set up concrete structural beams or girders that have been cast by others also fall within the scope of this classification as well as specialist contractors who connect bar joists to the steel framework. Sheet metal siding or interior light-gauge steel frame work are subject to divisions of payroll as are other contracting operations where the rules of the manual relating to payroll division will permit.
