Code 4829 is applied to insureds engaged in the manufacture of products requiring a chemical conversion. The term “chemical conversion” means any process in which the substances used in the manufacturing process undergo a molecular change in composition. Refer to Code 4828—Chemical Blending or Mixing NOC for insureds engaged in compounding, blending, mixing, bottling, and packaging chemicals which are not otherwise classified. Code 4829 is distinguished from Code 4828 by the fact that insureds that qualify for Code 4828 do not manufacture any of the ingredients they compound, blend, mix, bottle or package.
