The operations will vary depending upon the product being produced, and could involve some stamping, machining and heat-treating. However, component parts are usually manufactured by other concerns, and insureds contemplated within the scope of this classification will engage in a substantial proportion of hand assembling, testing and packaging operations. Some of the products of insureds which have been assigned to Code 3685 are surveyors' instruments, assay balances including weights, thermometers, dental or surgical instruments, ear, nose and throat lamps, ether-suction machines, scientific testing instruments, static machines, drawing instruments, electro-physical therapy equipment, X-ray apparatus, aircraft instruments and various electrical testing instruments.
