Code 3188 is applied to insureds engaged in the manufacture of a wide variety of products used by the plumbing trade. Some of the products manufactured are expansion joints, couplings, unions, elbows, tees, crosses, returns, lock nuts, flanges, plugs, faucets and similar plumbing fittings. The processes involve various operations depending upon the items being produced. These operations may include incidental ferrous or non-ferrous foundry operations, machining, sheet metal forming, welding, heat-treating, pipe cutting or bending, threading, reaming and a substantial amount of plating, polishing, assembling, inspecting and packaging.
