Per NCCI's Scopes Code Description:
Code 2130 is applied to an insured's distillery operations to produce spirituous liquors, i.e., whiskey, gin, rum and vodka. This classification also applies to the manufacture of grain or industrial alcohol. The operations involve the preparing of the mash from various grains, potatoes or molasses received from outside sources, and the fermenting, distilling and barreling of the products. This classification also covers the distilling operations of a winery. Most wineries fortify their sweet wines with brandy, and extensive distilling is required to produce the brandy from surplus stock of fermented wine juices.
