Class Codes & Rates:

Code 1803 is applicable to insureds engaged in the cutting, grinding, sandblasting, polishing and engraving of stone such as limestone, granite, marble and slate and includes stone dealers engaged in polishing and engraving. Quarrying and mining of the stone by these insureds would be separately rated. Also, any stone cutting operations performed at quarry sites would be rated under the applicable quarry classifications.
