Code 1624, a “not otherwise classified” classification, is applicable to insureds engaged in quarrying various materials including agricultural limestone, aplite rock, argillaceous limestone, ballast rock, cement rock, coral rock, feldspar, granite, hard rock shale, limestone, rock asphalt, slate and silica rock. Code 1624 contemplates open pit-type quarrying or “surface mining” operations including stripping of surface material (overburden) covering the minerals or rocks to be quarried.
