Code 1320 is applicable to an oil or gas lease owner/operator, or an insured under contract to operate a facility for its owner. It includes all operations that are necessary to work an oil or gas lease, which are not otherwise classified. The clearing of land, building of lease roads, slush pits, levees or fire walls, cleaning and swabbing of old wells, the laying or taking up of flow lines and water lines, installing of central pumping units, running the pumps, gauging the oil or gas and maintenance and repair are examples of activities assigned to this classification. Code 1320 also contemplates heat-treating to dispose of excess water when done to increase the oil flow.
