Code 0034 applies to all acreage or facilities devoted to raising poultry, turkeys, squabs and eggs for consumption and breeding purposes. Such operations are of a custodial nature and include sheltering, feeding, watering and cleaning pens or cages. Also included are insureds performing a single process such as egg processing and hatchery operations as well as debeaking, caponizing, vaccinating, and the production of feed if not performed by an individually insured entity. Operations conducted in the raising of birds and insects (crickets, worms) for sale or for the sale of their products are contemplated by Code 0034 since such operations are of a custodial nature.
