Code 8047 applies to stores that are principally engaged in the wholesale distribution of prepared drugs, medicines and pharmaceutical ingredients intended for use in the preparation of drugs and medicines. Sales of the aforementioned products to health care facilities (e.g., nursing homes, hospitals, etc.) for use by that facility in the preparation of prescriptions for dispensation to its patients are contemplated by Code 8047.
