Class Code:
5703
Per NCCI's Scopes Code Description:
Code 5703 is applied to specialist contractors engaged in building, raising or moving, including incidental shoring, removal or rebuilding of walls, foundations, columns or piers, all excavation, carpentry and masonry work involved in the raising and resetting of the building. The operations include the readying of the building to be moved by knocking holes in the base or foundation and the digging of trenches under the building to accommodate the cross beams. Incidental shoring may be involved. The cross beams are then inserted and the building is ready to be raised. Cribbing, hydraulic jacks and wheel dollies are used to load the building, usually onto telescopic trailers. The building is then transferred to its new site. The reverse procedure is followed in lowering the building onto previously prepared footings. Concrete blocks are placed and secured from the base to the house; cross beams are removed and holes are filled.
