Class Code:
4775
Per NCCI's Scopes Code Description:
Code 4775 is applied to insureds engaged in loading of shell cases of 20-mm and over with loose or bagged powder received from others. In some instances these insureds may engage in bag loading. Such bag loading operations may be separately classified where the rules of the manual relating to payroll division will permit. It is a common practice in shell case loading plants to load 20-mm cannon shell cases on the same loading line used for loading 37-mm shell cases since the loading of both types of cases is identical. Shell cases, loaded projectiles, loaded igniter boosters and loaded primers are received from others. The powder is weighed and filled or packed into the shell cases. In some instances an igniter booster may be used for certain propellant charges. The assembly of the loaded shell cases with loaded projectiles and loaded primers is contemplated within the scope of this classification to take care of those instances where shell case loading plants may turn out complete fixed ammunition.
