Code 3303 is applied to insureds engaged in the manufacture of all springs other than those made of wire. Leaf or flat springs, elliptical or oval coil springs and other springs, made from bar or strip iron received from others, require substantial proportions of blacksmithing, forging and tempering in the manufacturing process. Subsequent assembling and finishing operations are performed prior to shipment to customers such as automobile and truck manufacturers and mobile agricultural and construction machinery manufacturers.
