Ergonomics 101 – Recognizing Risks - September 1, 2022

Ergonomics is the process of designing workspaces, equipment, and systems so that they fit the people who use them.
When employers don’t pay attention to ergonomics, employees are at a greater risk of developing Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs). Common triggers for MSDs include repetitive lifting of heavy items, bending, reaching overhead and pulling heavy loads. These are particularly common in manufacturing.
With the proper knowledge, employers can prevent the number and severity of work-related MSDs by utilizing ergonomics. This webinar will help manufacturers understand:
How to evaluate ergonomic injury risks
The “big 3” ergonomic risk factors
Methods to reduce risk, including:
Modifying existing equipment
Changing work practices
Purchase new equipment
