Class Code:
4770
Per NCCI's Scopes Code Description:
Code 4770 is applied to insureds engaged in the loading of bags with propellants such as black powder or smokeless powder. These bag-propelling charges are used by other insureds engaged in loading ammunition and also in the loading of many types of shell cases. This classification applies primarily to firms having contracts for bag loading only, but it also is available to the shell case loading plants engaged in their own bag loading where the rules of the manual relating to payroll division will permit. The gun powders are received from others along with bags. However, if the bags are made within the restricted area, such manufacturing operations fall within the scope of Code 4770.
