MOTORCYCLE MFG. OR ASSEMBLY 

Per NCCI's Scopes Code Description:

"Code 3851 is applied to insureds engaged in the manufacture or assembly of motorcycles. Steel and sheet metal bar and tubing, plastic, leather, foam rubber, engines, transmissions, clutches, sprockets, valves, instruments and gauges, carburetors, starters or magnetos, steering mechanisms, brakes, electrical wiring, wheels, tires, tubes, springs, nuts, bolts and paints are received from other manufacturers. The classification encompasses a variety of operations including metal forming of frames, bodies and handlebars and the joining of  these parts by welding; machining of various parts for engines, transmissions, clutches, etc., if these parts are not received from others; plastic, leather and foam rubber forming to produce handlebar grips and seats; assembling of all parts and spray painting. The completed motorcycles are tested prior to shipment."
