TEXTILE FIBER MFG.—SYNTHETIC
Per NCCI's Scopes Code Description:
"Code 2305 is applied to insureds engaged in the manufacture of synthetic textile fibers including those textile fibers made through an extrusion process from the melting of plastic or similar type pellets. The classification is also applied to insureds engaged in the manufacture of rayon using either the viscose, acetate, cuprammonium or nitrocellulose process to produce the rayon staple fiber. Most rayon plants will engage in primary spinning to produce dried, twisted yarn. Usually this operation involves two phases. The first is the bobbin spinning machine, which serves for the extrusion and coagulation of the yarn filament. The second spinning machine adds the twisting operation. The rayon yarn is then machine wound onto cones prior to shipment."
